Destinations
Difinity Inc. utilizing the most reliable payload carriers, rockets and materials to insure the success of each launch. Our destinations include: Low earth orbit, High earth orbit, Langrangian points (gravity wells), the moon, the asteroid belt (Kuiper), The Oort Cloud at the edge of our solar system and deep space.
Difinity Inc. utilizes available locations for it's interment. At present we are launching to the following destinations:
- LEO, or low earth orbit as a "piggyback" payload with satellites.
- HEO,or high earth orbit.
- "LaGrange" Points...The LaGrange points are five points in space nearby bodies that orbit each other. The Earth-Sun L1 is sunward of the Earth about 1 million miles. The point has at least one solar observatory spacecraft, to monitor the Sun and give us 45 minutes warning of solar proton storms. In the Earth-Lunar system, the L4 and L5 have been proposed as city locations. These points lead and trail the Moon's location in an orbit a few thousand miles closer to the Earth than the Moon and are only meta-stable. The L2 is beyond the Moon and might be a good location for a radio-telescope, shielded from Mankind's electromagnetic noise by the Moon itself. The Clarke Orbit (geosynchronous' proper name) is ~23,300 miles above the Earth's equator, with no orbital inclination. Satellites hover over one location on Earth's equator because their orbit is exactly the length of the Earth's day.
- The Moon.
- The Kuiper Asteroid belt.
- and eventually out of our solar system into deep space.
